Winter Wonderland has closed for this season, see you all next winter!

We’re really sad to have to say goodbye to Winter Wonderland for another year – it’s been such fun and the best year so far! Thanks to everyone who made it such a fantastic event!

We’ll be pulling together highlights of this year’s Winter Wonderland – photos, videos, etc – so keep in touch through Facebook, Twitter, the website and our newsletters. Look out for an end-of-season photo competition coming soon!

Winter Wonderland raises a toast to the big event - it’s Christmas!!

Although we’ve been celebrating Christmas since 18th November… the big event is finally here! Hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas time.

Here at Winter Wonderland though, the festive season doesn’t end here – after a break on Christmas Day, we’re open again every day until 3rd January 2012. So when you’re tired of the Christmas TV and are stuffed with leftover turkey, mince pies and chocolates, you might be ready to get some much needed exercise in the form of ice skating, on our beautiful Samsung Galaxy Ice Rink! Take some time to reflect up in the Giant Observation Wheel, seeing spectacular views over Hyde Park and beyond. Or take in some really thrilling, live entertainment at Zippos Circus, where due to popular demand, extra shows at 9.15pm have been added for Cirque Extreme on 28th and 29th December and 2nd January! For a last chance to visit Santa, he’ll be waiting in his grotto to welcome you all every day from 10am – but at busy times be there by 4pm to make sure you get to see him before he goes off to feed the reindeer!

There are rides galore, for those wanting to boost their adrenalin levels, or you may want to take it gently on a traditional carousel or helter skelter. Not forgetting a turn around the Haunted Mansion or Pirates’ Adventure for some rollicking fun!

For some authentic Bavarian revelry, come join us for beer, bratwurst and live bands in the Bavarian Village – the perfect place to see in the New Year! With more eateries, heated cafes and restaurants than ever before you’ll find a fantastic range of great food and drink on offer.

So if you don’t want Christmas to be over yet, don’t worry, it isn’t! Join us any day from 10am ‘til 10pm to soak up the magic of Christmas, walking in a Winter Wonderland… Merry Christmas all!

We’re expecting another busy weekend - book in advance for skating, circus or giant wheel!

With the weather getting ever more wintry and the final countdown to Christmas on – Winter Wonderland is more festive than ever!

Coming up to this weekend, we’re expecting another busy time Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday. As with previously, at peak times it may be necessary to limit the number of people into Winter Wonderland. But don’t worry, ticket holders to ice skating, giant wheel and circus will be admitted as usual. So if you want to come down for any of these attractions, be sure to book in advance.

This weekend - busy times as Christmas is almost here!

Getting ready for the weekend as we wind down to Christmas. Only two weeks to go!

We’re expecting Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday to be very busy this weekend.

During peak times it will be necessary for us to limit the number of people into Winter Wonderland for the comfort and safety of our customers. Ticket holders for the ice skating, giant wheel and circus will be admitted as usual.

Don’t forget Winter Wonderland is open everyday from 10am to 10pm until 3rd January (except Christmas Day) so there’s still plenty of time to visit us. If you want to come down to skate, go on the giant wheel or see Zippos Circus, we highly recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Due to a huge demand for our jaw-dropping, daredevil show Cirque Extreme, we are adding a 9.15pm show on Fridays and Saturdays from this weekend! Zippos Cirque Extreme offers edge-of-your seat excitement, combining some of the most thrilling and dangerous acts the world of circus has to offer!

Busy weekends

We’ve just had a very busy weekend – hope fun was had by all!

Please note that at the weekends at peak times between 3pm and 7pm we may sometimes need to restrict access to Winter Wonderland to non ticket holders for the comfort and safety of our customers.

A Sensational start to Winter Wonderland!

Winter Wonderland has had a sensational first week! Getting off to an amazing start on Friday 18th November when Children in Need was broadcast live from Winter Wonderland, where Pudsey and the team enjoyed the first-night festivities.

On Wednesday the final contestants of X Factor came down for some much needed downtime before the next gruelling round on Saturday. See pics of Little Mix and Marcus let loose on the rides on Facebook! Staying with the X Factor theme, last year’s runners up One Direction also made a visit to Winter Wonderland, no doubt to get some seasonal inspiration for the next song, as well as to stock up on sweets!

Everyone’s loving the fantastic new Samsung Galaxy Ice Rink, which as well as being the biggest, we think is the prettiest ice rink around! Zippos Circus is going down a storm, and the views from the Giant Wheel are just magical!

We’ve opened each day to beautiful and mild winter days with bright blue skies – perfect for fun and frolics in our festive park. Come on down!

The wait is finally over…Winter Wonderland is here! The gates open to Winter Wonderland this Friday 18th November at 5pm. Join us as we celebrate 5 years in Hyde Park with a spectacular opening night.

We are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Samsung to bring you the SAMSUNG GALAXY ICE RINK. For the first time this will surround the Victorian bandstand creating a beautiful centrepiece for Winter Wonderland, which at 1600m2 forms the largest in the UK.

Zippos brings two shows this year – Zippos Christmas Circus exploring the magic of Christmas around the world, and Cirque Extreme, a daredevil show with the most thrilling acts the world of circus has to offer.

This year there’ll be even more bars, cafes, restaurants and eateries. Visit the amazing new Carousel Bar, which rotates gently whilst you sip on your mulled wine! Other highlights include the House of St Nicholas, Reindeer’s Rest Bar, Pizza Express and The Star Tavern providing real ales & cider as well as traditional fare hog roast and fish & chips. For a full helping of Bavaria, try the Bavarian Village where you will find bratwurst, beer and live bands aplenty! Spiegel Saloon Bar & Restaurant, set in an antique travelling ballroom, makes a welcome return with free evening performances.

New rides and attractions this year include The Alpen Hotel, set across four floors it’s the biggest and most spectacular fun house in the UK. For thrill-seekers amongst you we have Air, Alpine Adventure and back by popular demand is the Power Tower, the tallest free fall in the world. Kids will be delighted by the new Lapland-style rides, traditonal carousels, and the exciting Santa Land where visits to Santa himself are free!

As always, entry is free. Bookings for ice skating, the Observation Wheel and Zippos Circus can be made in advance or on the day (subject to availability).

Winter Wonderland celebrates its 5th year with a magical new ice rink

We are excited to announce that the ice rink will be given a new home this year, surrounding the Victorian bandstand, creating a beautiful centre piece for Winter Wonderland.

Stretching over 1,600m2, the outdoor rink will be the biggest of its kind in the UK. At night the ice rink will be transformed, illuminated by no less than 108,000 pea-lights illuminating the ice, creating a magical atmosphere for skaters!

Winter Wonderland Returns With Even More Magical Treats!

After a phenomenal 2010 season, which saw a staggering two million visitors, planning for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2011, London’s most dazzling winter event is well underway. With no admission fee, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland now offers almost seven whole weeks of festive fun – right in the heart of the Capital!

WINTER WONDERLAND will once again feature London’s biggest outdoor ice-rink, the iconic Giant Observation Wheel and the return of Zippos Circus – all of which are booking now! In addition to this there are many new and exciting attractions including a thrilling rollercoaster ride, which has never been seen before. And of course Winter Wonderland would not be complete without Santa Land for kids with FREE Santa’s grotto, along with the famous Power Tower, Angel’s Christmas Market and food & drink galore!

Winter Wonderland joins the celebrations for 160 years of the Royal Parks

2011 is a highly significant year for The Royal Parks as it marks 160 years of public access to the Parks. Winter Wonderland is proud and excited to be associated with the 160 years Royal Parks celebrations.

Winter Wonderland Voted Visit London’s Consumer Event Of The Year

Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland was crowned Consumer Event of The Year at the 2010 Visit London awards.

The Royal Parks, along with event organisers PWR accepted the award at a glittering ceremony in the central London. London’s largest and most dazzling winter event is looking forward to celebrating its fifth year.
